The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for recording data entry and processing donations. This position will work with the Mail Processing Staff on day-to-day mail processing and data entry goals. This is a nonexempt position located in Sioux Falls, SD.
AccountabilityPart time positions report to the Data Entry Supervisor and full time positions report to the Data Entry Manager
Core ResponsibilitiesWorks in the Data Entry Department in Sioux Falls assisting Mail Processing staff. The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for recording data, processing donations and running production processes. Also, resolving questions and giving prompt feedback. Proficient in data entry for St. Josephs Indian School (SJIS), Priests of the Sacred Heart (POSH) and Sacred Heart Southern Missions (SHSM). Always follows established policies and procedures of the Data Entry Department.
Responsibilities1. Performs data entry per established procedures. This includes updating Studio Enterprise to keep the donor history file accurate by setting needed codes, making changes and entering accurate donations in a timely manner. 2. Operates the Mavro software to process donations (cash, check and credit card). This includes all workflow steps to get batches ready to release for the deposit. 3. Performs responsibilities as needed to ensure the mail production is within production goals for STJO, POSH and SHSM. This includes working overtime as required. 4. Executes production processes for St. Josephs Indian School (STJO), Priest of the Sacred Heart (POSH) and Sacred Heart Southern Missions (SHSM). 5. Works on cleanup activities; e.g., duplicate resolution, CASS errors, deceased processing, removals, POSH and other activities as assigned. 6. Maintains tight security and confidentiality of all donor information. 7. Other duties as assigned by the Data Entry Supervisor/Manager.
QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent Typing skills required Computer experience required Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Physical DemandsUses both hands and wrists repetitively for prolonged periods.
Expectations of Hours WorkedFull time 40 hours/week & Part time 10-28 hours/week Will spend occasional time in Chamberlain with the Mail Processing Department for training, updates, etc. This may include an overnight in Chamberlain. Initial training may require a weeklong stay as needed to become acclimated.
