Job Description :
Primary Purpose: Perform on-site technical work to install, maintain, and support computer equipment and software applications on a campus or campuses. Respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing computer hardware. Provide training and software support as directed.Qualifications:Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED A+ Certification or MCP Apple CertificationSpecial Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Apple and PC computer workstation setup Knowledge of Apple and PC computer hardware and software applications Ability to install, maintain, and repair computers and peripherals Ability to install and maintain network cables and hardware Ability to diagnose problems and perform repairs Excellent interpersonal skillsExperience: One year work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and peripheralsMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Installation
  • Install and upgrade computers and peripherals on campus(es).
  • Assist with installation of network cabling and network peripherals on campus(es).
  • Relocate computer hardware, peripherals, and equipment as needed.
  • Install and configure software as directed.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data communications circuits and equipment.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair equipment technology equipment.
  • Service equipment according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain accurate updated records of all computer maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.
  • Safety
  • Operate tools and equipment according to prescribed safety procedures.
  • Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing and carrying.
  • Correct unsafe conditions in the work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to the supervisor immediately.
  • Training
  • Assist with on-site training for administration and staff as needed or directed.
  • Assist in developing and presenting campus staff development.
  • Engage teachers and other staff by proactively identifying and providing just-in-time training on an individual basis.
  • Other
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
  • Shipping and receiving of technology equipment as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Equipment Used: Hand tools and test instruments for electronic repairs and cable installations. Personal computers and peripherals. Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling; frequent use of small hand tools and electronic test equipment. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours.Work Days: 226 (days will be prorated to acutal days worked) Start Date: August 2025 Salary: District Salary Schedule
