A career in Standards Engineering offers the opportunity to perform various engineering functions by developing, revising, and performing review and quality control of the Companys operating procedures. You will ensure that all standards are created and maintained in accordance with federal and state regulations as well as industry best practices. These standards will be applied throughout the company for the construction, operation, and maintenance of gas distribution, transmission, and production facilities. Furthermore, you will assist Management in creating solutions to complex problems through critical thinking. The team also must act as Subject Matter Experts providing technical support to the operations function as well as other functional areas within SJI.
