- Develop and maintain core Java code in accordance with existing application architecture and design.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address and resolve any reported issues.
- Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance system performance.
- Leverage automation tools and techniques to improve efficiency and streamline processes.
- Proactively manage your workload to ensure timely delivery of projects and tasks.
- Contribute innovative ideas for continuous improvement and system enhancements.
- Actively participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively with other teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- Strong object-oriented design and programming skills.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Deep understanding of Core Java.
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle) and SQL.
- Proficiency with Jenkins and Chef.
- Proficiency with UNIX/Linux and shell scripting.
This role will be hybrid, working onsite two days per week at the client's Chicago, IL office. The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $57 to $70 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
