Job Description Summary
The client team is seeking an Assistant Marketing & Advertising Manager to help bring to life a bold, creative, customer-first marketing strategy certified used vehicle initiatives.
This position will work with a variety of groups and disciplines across GM and partner agencies. Prospective team members should exhibit a creative, forward-thinking mentality with a strong sense of teamwork. Candidates should have a good understanding of how to manage implementation of an integrated consumer marketing campaign across multiple channels. The focus of this position is on tactical day-to-day execution of multiple marketing channels while assuring alignment with the overall brand and creative strategy. Familiarity with retail, CRM and consumer site management preferred.

Be Bold and Think CustomerMaintain a positive, forward-thinking mindsetChallenge conventional thinking to help bring new, disruptive ideas to the marketplaceManage day-to-day tactical execution of the retail, CRM and consumer site workstreams, as well as other areas as opportunities ariseCoordinate and support consumer website activities with the Digital Operations SpecialistWork closely with multiple partner agencies on aligned channelsCoordinate with creative agency to facilitate development and production of consumer marketing materials, including necessary approvalsCoordinate with internal GM partners such as Global Marketing and Social COE to leverage all available resources and ensure adherence to GM requirements and processesBecome a specialist on the used vehicle market including consumer, product, and competitiveCoordinate and meet with any necessary internal and external partners to develop initiatives to enhance GM's used car strategyWorking closely with other team members, support implementation of an integrated dealer retail strategy and associated materialsWork with other client team members to develop initiatives in support of team goalsTrack media and production budgets with accuracy and detailQualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree5+ years in consumer marketing or advertisingA creatively consumer-centric, results-driven mentalityExcellent project management skills and the proven track record to manage multiple projects at any given timeAbility to deal with ambiguity and take charge to get things doneAbility to synthesize site and marketing metrics and provide succinct summaries to share with larger teamProven time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently use your time to focus on the most impactful activities and challenge those that distract from the identified goalExcellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrably understanding and communicating with your audience (internal and external); presenting information effectively and succinctly; and communicating openlyAdvertising/Marketing agency experience helpful but not requiredAutomotive experience preferred but not required
