Optomi, in partnership with a leading company in the entertainment industry, is seeking a proactive and strategic Localization Operations Manager to join the Distribution Operations team, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Localization Operations. This role oversees the localization of artwork and metadata for all U.S.-produced content delivered to this company worldwide. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of entertainment localization workflows, project management expertise, and the ability to manage complex international timelines while coordinating across multiple teams, vendors, and territories. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, a diplomatic approach to stakeholder management, and the ability to balance creative quality with operational deadlines.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Manage artwork and metadata localization workflows, validating and certifying readiness for global delivery.
- Liaise with vendors, dubbing studios, and international territory teams to ensure timely, accurate content delivery.
- Oversee day-to-day localization operations, including asset preparation and project tracking.
- Communicate project and title-level updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product and technology teams to ensure delivery systems support localization needs.
- Create and update departmental SOPs to optimize workflows and maintain quality standards.
- Validate and submit invoices, ensuring financial accuracy and budget compliance.
- Develop statistical metrics and reports to inform senior management decision-making.
- Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis and preventative solutions.
- Balance client requirements with creative and quality integrity under tight timelines.
- Recognize patterns to proactively address complex operational challenges.
Qualifications (Must-Haves):
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing content localization workflows.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in localization.
- Extensive knowledge of localization workflows in the entertainment industry.
- Proven international market/territory experience.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience in digital media and distribution.
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 strategies and process standardization.
