Job Title: Pediatric Occupational Therapist (Contract Position)

Location: In-home and in-school settings, primarily uptown Manhattan

Job Type: Contract, Flexible Schedule

Hourly Rate: $90–$110 per hour

Sensory Squad is a dynamic and rapidly growing private pay pediatric occupational therapy practice dedicated to providing neurodiversity-affirming, play-based, strengths-based, and evidence-based services. Our mission is to support children with sensory differences, developmental delays, ASD, ADHD, and other unique needs, empowering them to thrive within a collaborative and nurturing environment. Position Overview:

I am seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join my growing practice. As a contracted therapist, you will take over a portion of an expanding caseload, providing therapy in-home and in-school settings. You will have the flexibility to set your own schedule, working with clients according to their availability.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality pediatric occupational therapy services in-home and in-school settings within Manhattan.
  • Implement neurodiversity-affirming, play-based, and strengths-based therapy approaches.
  • Complete comprehensive evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Collaborate effectively with families, teachers, and other professionals to create holistic, family-centered therapy plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client information in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
  • Establish strong rapport with families and children, fostering trust and communication throughout the therapeutic process.
  • Participate in mentorship opportunities to develop professionally and ensure continuous improvement in clinical practice.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience treating pediatric clients.
  • Valid and up-to-date licensure as an Occupational Therapist in New York State.
  • Experience using electronic medical record systems for documentation.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams.
  • A strong passion for working with a neurodiverse population and a commitment to providing tailored, affirming care
  • Ability to travel to various client locations throughout Manhattan

Schedule:

  • Flexible and self-determined, based on client availability.
  • Travel within the city is required.
  • Anticipated start date: Fall 2025

Compensation:

  • Hourly rate is competitive and commensurate with experience.
