The Opportunity

We're seeking a strategic and mission-driven Director of Talent & Field Development - Maintenance Division to lead and expand the Mercury Constellation™ workforce initiative. This program places trained CAM employees directly at client properties—delivering consistent service, career stability, and higher workforce retention.

In this high-impact role, you'll lead talent strategy, manage embedded labor performance, and champion field staff growth and development. You'll work cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and Sales to improve margins, drive retention, and elevate the client experience.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Development

  • Drive implementation of the Mercury Constellation™ career path (Utility Star → Orbit Tech → Site Nebula)
  • Build training, onboarding, and mentorship programs for field staff
  • Partner with HR to recruit, evaluate, and develop high-performing site-based teams

    • Field Workforce Execution

  • Collaborate with Operations to ensure consistent staffing, supervision, and service quality
  • Conduct regular site visits to support employee development and resolve issues
  • Analyze labor performance data to optimize profitability and resource utilization

    • Strategic Workforce Initiatives

  • Lead CAM's involvement in apprenticeship, upskilling, and training initiatives (e.g., CAI, AIF, HRTP)
  • Build partnerships with workforce boards, trade programs, and community colleges
  • Track performance metrics such as retention, advancement, and client outcomes

    • Program Management

  • Own workforce dashboards (retention, cost, utilization)
  • Support Sales and Account Management with proposal input and QBRs
  • Align field talent strategy with CAM's broader growth and service goals

    • Qualifications

  • 5+ years in operations, workforce development, or facilities leadership
  • Hands-on experience managing field teams or embedded labor
  • Proven track record with training systems, team building, or apprenticeship models
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Data- and results-driven mindset with a passion for frontline workforce development
  • Bachelor's degree required - MBA preferred (Business, Organizational Development, or related field)
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

    • Salary Range: $84,000 - $100,000

    • Incentive Plan: annual bonus plan up to 20% of base salary
