Job Description :

Join Pride Health as a Phlebotomist III at Vancouver, WA! This is a 3 months contract role offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Role: Phlebotomist III

Location: 2211 Northeast 139th Street, Vancouver, WA 98686

Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM; occasional weekends preferred

Hours per Week: 40 hours

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Highlights: $23-27/hour (Based on years of experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform 30–40 blood draws per day in a high-volume hospital setting.
  • Conduct venipuncture and capillary collections for patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Work in Patient Service Centers (PSCs) or rotate to various hospital floors (no off-site floating).
  • Accurately label and store specimens following established laboratory protocols.
  • Centrifuge and process specimens for analysis, ensuring sample integrity.
  • Maintain accurate patient and specimen data in the laboratory information system.
  • Follow all procedures for collecting and storing specimens, including proper handling of biohazard materials.
  • Maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance, and document maintenance and decontamination activities.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, infection control, and laboratory safety standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and interact directly with patients to ensure a positive experience.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: At least 2 years of professional phlebotomy experience in both pediatric and geriatric settings.

Proficiency in:

  • Venipuncture and capillary blood collection.
  • Specimen labeling and processing.
  • Centrifugation and sample preparation.
  • Maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment.
  • Recording and updating patient information.

Certifications: Phlebotomy certification

Note: Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
