Job Description :

The ideal candidate will be constantly assessing the systems in place to ensure that they are both safe and operating efficiently. This candidate will be comfortable managing a team and conducting analysis in order to highlight areas for improvement. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills in order to keep track of multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities

  • Verify instruction sheets for each fixture.
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is performed to quality and production standards.
  • Observes and recognizes the best qualities of the employees and expanding upon them.
  • Ensure that spare parts are ordered and properly stored.
  • Inspect and take corrective action to trim fixtures, band saws, machines, finishing fixtures, etc. to ensure employee safety and product quality.
  • Monitor all shift performances and take whatever corrective action is necessary to maintain production and quality standards.
  • Ensure that all aspects of his or her area are in full compliance with the safety and quality systems in place at the operation at all times.
  • Informs employees of changes to day-to-day responsibilities and provides regular constructive feedback on their performance.
  • Ensures all department personnel are aware of and working to their job description and standards.
  • Recommends and takes appropriate action when employees are not meeting standards.
  • Ensures employees have sufficient training and information to perform tasks efficiently in both quantity and quality.
  • Keeps employees informed of company policies, practices and procedures through departmental meetings and one-on-one discussions.

Qualifications

  • Degreed or Technical certification.
  • 7years supervisory experience within manufacturing industry, plastics experience a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Ability to identify and solve inefficiencies in processes
