SUMMARY
Assist EH&S Manager in fulfilling the company's Safety program goals by developing and implementing procedures and guidelines to promote and ensure the safety and health of everyone on and around TALCO worksites
TYPICAL DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)
- Collaborate with Safety Manager and Corporate EHS Director to implement and ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections.
- When necessary, stop work and work with TALCO project leadership to replan the work and/or retrain the employees and/or subcontractors.
- Continually monitor and maintain records on all aspects of the company's EH&S Program.
- Investigate all incidents and near misses to prevent reoccurrence; prepare technically detailed reports within 48 hours of incident.
- Monitor subcontractor safety activities, ensuring implementation of the T. A. Loving Company Safety Program and overall project goals.
- Conduct formal and informal safety training and meetings for small and large groups, including jobsite personnel and subcontractors, as needed.
- Manage PPE distribution, utilization, and maintain detailed usage and performance metrics. Provide reports at least monthly or otherwise required by EH&S Director.
- Assist all business units with risk management efforts as needed.
- Support People Services with the Alcohol & Drug Free Awareness Policy by administering monthly random drug tests.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- High school diploma
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PPT
- Maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record
- Ability to perform hands-on safety supervision
- Strong leadership, motivation, planning, teamwork, collaboration, communication, and conflict-resolution, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Safe Work or No Work mindset; fully committed to safety and jobsite standards, policies, and processes
