About the Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home, Inc.
The Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home is managed by American Health Management (NAHM). A three-person Board was appointed to provide oversight of the operation of the facility.
Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home is a State-of-the-art, 60-bed long-term care unit with a 12-bed memory care unit.

️ About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Maintenance Director to lead the operations of our Maintenance Department at Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home. This is a leadership-level position responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our grounds, facility, and equipment, in accordance with federal, state, and tribal regulations. Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Maintenance, you will:
Oversee all maintenance activities across the facility, including groundskeeping, equipment repairs, HVAC systems, safety protocols, and sanitation.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory codes and standards (CDC, OSHA, etc.).
Coordinate with other departments (Nursing, Dietary, etc.) for seamless facility operation.
Lead preventive maintenance programs and respond to unscheduled service needs.
Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, inventories, and inspections.
Participate in budget planning, equipment purchasing, and capital improvement projects.
Respond to emergencies and ensure readiness for disaster or infection control situations.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role within a maintenance or plant operations setting, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care environment.
Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, codes, and technical manuals.
Knowledgeable in safety regulations, building codes, and infection control procedures.
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks.
Must be at least 21 years old and licensed per applicable local/state standards.
