Job DescriptionDesktop Support Technician Position OverviewSecurify is seeking a highly experienced Mid to Senior-Level Desktop Support Technician to provide advanced technical support across Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS platforms. This role involves troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, configuring and maintaining PCs and Macs, managing end-user accounts, resolving network outages, and maintaining detailed inventory and network documentation. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of network fundamentals, with the flexibility to travel occasionally to client sites.   • Basic troubleshooting and support for Windows and MacOS environments.
  • Set up, configuration, and troubleshooting of PC and Mac hardware, software, apps & OS.
  • Basic troubleshooting for Android and iPhone.
  • Ability to specify and build a PC.
  • Administration of end-user accounts.
  • Assistance with any generalized technical issues.
  • Maintenance and management of inventory sheets and network diagrams.
  • Installation, diagnosis, and configuration of printers and scanners.
  • Monitoring, tracking, and resolution of network outages.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to job sites (e.g., to different parts of CA, out of state).
  • Attendance at meetings with clients or team members.
Desktop Support Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent language, communication, and client-facing customer service skills.
  • Developed problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Capability to support clients through remote solutions.
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, Mac OS, Android, and iOS.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • A sense of how to appropriately prioritize projects.
  • Strong documentation and organization skills.
  • Basic understanding of network fundamentals and familiarity with network topologies.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and pass an extensive background check.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stand, walk, kneel, and assume awkward positions.
Skills nice to have but not required:
  • Possession of relevant certifications, such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, CompTIA, and Cisco.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Office 365, JAMF, and Workspace One.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems, such as Ubuntu.
  • Experience installing and configuring IT-related hardware (e.g., firewalls, access points, network switches, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or another technical field.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling while installing, troubleshooting, or repairing hardware.
  • Manual dexterity to use hand tools and manipulate small computer components.
  • Ability to work in various postures, including crouching and reaching in tight or awkward spaces.
  • Occasional travel to client sites, which may require extended periods of standing and walking.
  • The capacity to work for extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Clear vision for reading computer screens and detailed system components.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in person, over the phone, and via email for technical support and client interaction.
Transportation Requirement
  • Must have reliable personal transportation for service calls to client sites.
