One of Brunel's major Oil & Gas clients is currently looking for a Construction Civil Engineer to support their new brownfield LNG Project. The role is a site position, with per diem offered for non-local candidates. It is a 5-year contract opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate Contractor's design, execution plans, construction methods, schedule, and provide timely feedback.
- Monitor Contractor's Civil/Structure/Architecture construction in the field, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.
- Attend field inspections, tests, and walkdowns as directed.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively during construction execution.
- Establish professional relationships with coworkers and contractor/subcontractor personnel for seamless interaction.
- Prepare daily reports on key achievements, progress, events, issues, concerns, and observations using a standard format.
- Contribute to weekly, monthly, or other reports as directed.
- Attend daily toolbox meetings, field meetings, standdowns, and walkdowns on site.
- Participate in off-site meetings, inspections, and tests as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Architectural) or related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in oil and gas construction projects, preferably in LNG or gas processing sectors.
- At least 5 years of experience in US Gulf construction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective team collaboration abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with management, coworkers, and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Knowledge of scheduling software like Primavera.
- Understanding of industry standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM, IBC, PIANC).
