About the Role
We're looking for an experienced, mission-driven Designated Manager to lead and support our residential teams providing services to individuals with disabilities across the Twin Cities metro. This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, high-quality service delivery, and strong team development. You'll oversee multiple sites, guide Designated Coordinators and support staff, and help shape the future of our residential services.Qualified applicants for this position must have experience working as a Designated Manager in rate exception, crisis, and/or high behavioral support needs settings.
What You'll DoProvide leadership and coaching to Designated Coordinators and Program Coordinators
Ensure programs are fully staffed, within budget, and meeting all 245D compliance standards
Lead or support intakes, assessments, and the development of person-centered service plans
Monitor documentation, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions when needed
Build positive relationships with guardians, case managers, and county partners
Stay ahead of licensing and legislative updates and ensure programs adapt accordingly
Contribute to new program development and continuous quality improvement efforts
Participate in on-call rotation and step in as Designated Coordinator when needed
What You Bring
To qualify as a Designated Manager, you must meet Minnesota Rule 245D requirements:
3+ years of supervisory experience in services for people with disabilities or older adultsAnd one of the following education + experience combinations:
BA in a related field + 1 year of direct support experience
AA in a related field + 2 years of direct support experience
Human services diploma + 3 years of direct support experience
50+ hours of relevant training + 4 years of supervised direct support experience
Additional requirements:
Experience leading teams and navigating crisis/emergency response in high behavioral settings
Strong documentation, compliance, and quality assurance skills
Solid judgment, organization, and the ability to manage competing priorities
Comfortable with site travel across the metro (mileage reimbursed)
Must pass DHS background study and have a valid driver's license
Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000/year, depending on experience
