This is a full-time salaried position, located onsite out of our Baltimore, MD or Morrisville, NC site.

The Catalent Governance Risk and Compliance team is looking for a highly motivated and technically proficient Governance Risk and Compliance Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a solid foundation in information security, risk management, and compliance, who also possesses a strong aptitude for technical solutions.

The Governance Risk and Compliance Engineer will play a key role in evolving our Governance Risk and Compliance team capabilities by leveraging their technical skills in areas like APIs, automation, scripting, databases, and data analysis. This role will focus on streamlining Governance Risk and Compliance processes, enhancing data collection and reporting, and contributing to the technical implementation of Governance Risk and Compliance initiatives.

The Role :

GRC Automation & Tooling : Design, develop, and maintain scripts and automated solutions to streamline GRC processes, including but not limited to, third-party risk assessments, exception management workflows, and vulnerability remediation tracking

API Integration : Work with APIs to integrate GRC tools and data sources, enabling more efficient data exchange and automated reporting

Data Management & Analysis : Support the collection, storage, and analysis of GRC-related data, leveraging database skills to manage information and data science principles to identify trends and insights

Technical GRC Support : Provide technical support for GRC platforms and tools, troubleshooting issues and contributing to their optimization

Vulnerability Remediation Engineering : Contribute to the technical aspects of vulnerability remediation tracking, potentially assisting in the development of automated checks or reporting mechanisms

Reporting & Dashboards : Develop and maintain technical reports and dashboards on key GRC metrics, utilizing data from various sources to provide actionable insights

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing : Create and maintain technical documentation related to GRC automation, integrations, and processes

Continuous Improvement : Proactively identify opportunities to enhance GRC processes through technical innovation and automation

Other duties as assigned

The Candidate :

Bachelor's degree in business or science, preferred

In leu of Bachelor's degree, CyberSecurity certifications (e.g. Security+, CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.), required

Minimum of three years of experience in one or more of the following areas : Information Security, Audit (internal or external), Compliance, or Governance, Risk, and Compliance

Demonstrated understanding of basic information security principles, concepts, and common compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA), required

Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation, required

Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data querying and manipulation, required

Basic understanding of APIs and experience with consuming or interacting with them, required

Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-15 pounds
