Job DescriptionJob Quick Facts:• Specialty: Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)• Job Type: Locum Tenens• Facility Location: Portland, ME• Service Setting: Inpatient• Reason For Coverage: Supplemental• Coverage Period: Feb 2026 - Ongoing• Coverage Type: Clinical Only• Shift Schedule: 36-40 hrs/week; 10/12-hr shifts - At least 3 months; Usually 7a-530p or 7a-730p - Others: 9a-730p/9a-930p/11a-1130p• Ave. No. of Surgical Cases: 100 per day• Annual ER Volume: 60,000+ visits/year• Patient Demographics: Whole lifespan of patients - However, a dedicated ped CRNA specialty team covers all peds cases.• Support Staff: OR Staff• Duties: CRNA be supervised or work independently.• Required Procedures: - General Surgical Cases ADULT - Spinal Anesthesia, Neurosurgical Cases - Ventilation Mgmt, Local Infiltration• No. of ORs: 50• Trauma Level: I• EMR: Epic• Other Info: - Will NOT do: open hearts, regional anesthesia, central lines; Dedicated CRNA teams covers ped, thoracic & OB cases, so locums will generally not do those cases. - Lunch is generally considered unpaid; hence the 30-min add-on times for sched.• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance coveredRequirements:• ME License/willing to obtain• BC• BLS, ACLS• More than 1 yr of Level I trauma center experience
