Admissions Office Support

The Office of Admissions is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable person to provide general support of the admissions process, including assistance reviewing graduate applications. This position plays a critical role in ensuring prospective student records are complete, accurate, and ready for processing. Other tasks could include general office assistance. The ideal candidate is organized, maintains confidentiality, and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review application files for completeness and flag missing materials
  • Review applications to identify any outstanding prerequisites or gaps in experience to determine eligibility for program
  • Follow up with applicants on outstanding materials to complete application assessment
  • Update Slate as necessary with additional documentations (resumes, transcripts, etc.)
  • Assist with filing and retrieval of physical or digital documents
  • Maintain accurate logs of received documents and application statuses
  • Handle confidential applicant information in compliance with FERPA regulations
  • Perform data entry and quality checks on application records
  • Support related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete tasks independently
  • Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with document management systems or student databases
  • Prior experience working in an office or administrative setting
  • Interest in higher education or college admissions
