The Assistant Director, Sports Medicine will assist in the planning, coordination, operation and evaluation of athletic training operations for the intercollegiate athletics program. Essential Functions Supervises athletic training students. Serves as a preceptor for the student athletic training program. Aids in administration of athletic training program policies and procedures. Monitors student athletic trainers clinical responsibilities including clinical hours and proficiencies. Administers daily treatment, rehabilitation, and preventative measures for student-athletes. Attends team practices, competitions, and summer team activities. Supervises illness/injury referral program with Director of Athletic Training, physician and Director of Athletic Performance. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
