Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours, SEIU
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide variety of sonography examinations essential for departmental workflow.
- Assist physicians with sterile invasive procedures, including biopsies and thoracenteses.
- Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment, adhering to infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Timely completion of exams while providing exceptional quality scans.
- Ensure patient comfort and privacy throughout the examination process.
- Assume responsibility for patient safety during sonographic procedures.
- Follow established departmental policies and procedures diligently.
- Set up equipment correctly, ensuring proper patient positioning to prevent injury and ensure comfort.
- Flexibly cover all areas of the department as needed, responding to the hospital's mission.
- Maintain communication with physicians and radiologists to ensure accurate and comprehensive examinations.
- Provide empathetic and respectful service to patients of all ages, handling inquiries professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment, maximizing efficiency.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-level disinfection procedures.
- Document all required information accurately for billing and hospital records.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings and discussions to enhance operational workflow.
- Ensure that patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.

Requirements:
- Associate's degree in diagnostic medical sonography or equivalent experience.
- CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: ARDMS (OB, AB, or RVT) - accreditation must be completed before hire, except for OB/GYN (one-year grace period).
