We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes.

*Project assignments are typically within a 60 mile radius of Oswego, NY. No out of town requirements or overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
• Review and interpret schematics, blueprints, and project plans to ensure accurate execution of construction tasks.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
• Manage project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize efficiency.
• Oversee construction estimating processes to ensure accurate budgeting and cost management.
• Implement OSHA safety standards and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Procore for project documentation, management and communication.

Qualifications

• Associates of degree in Construction Management or related field ()
• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
• Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and project scheduling practices.
• Experience in pipeline construction is but not mandatory.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse groups of workers.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
