Bookkeeper (225 Days) Location: River Ridge Elementary Qualifications:
- High School Degree
- Excellent Math Skills
- Bookkeeping experience preferred
Job Goal: To assist in the administration of the school's financial affairs so as to provide the maximum services for the financial resources available. Responsibilities:
- Maintains confidentiality.
- Maintains a complete and systematic set of records of all financial transactions of the school.
- Verifies, allocates, and posts details of transactions, as well as maintains and monitors school budget purchases.
- Manages the procurement card and purchase order processes, to include the purchase of supplies and equipment, while ensuring compliance with purchasing procedures and regulations; assignment of account codes for invoice payment and reconciliation of accounts.
- Compiles reports and records to display relevant statistics such as receipts and expenditures, to reflect the financial condition of the school.
- Receives and receipts money and makes timely deposits for various student activity accounts.
- Reconciles accounts with bank statement and verifies bank balance with statement.
- Prepares files and receipt books for audit.
- Operates technology effectively.
- Keeps abreast of changes with the district/finance policies.
- Reviews the time sheets for accuracy and prepares them for approval.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
