Position Overview:HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Med Surg RN with a strong orthopedic and trauma background for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This is a dynamic and collaborative unit that specializes in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgeries, and elective orthopedic surgical cases. As part of a department recognized for innovation and research, this role offers both clinical complexity and professional development.

Unit Highlights:

• Specializes in orthopedic trauma, spine surgery, and elective ortho procedures

• Fast-paced, high-volume surgical unit with trauma exposure

• Part of a Level 1 Trauma Center (experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre- and post-operative care for orthopedic and trauma patients

• Monitor and interpret telemetry

• Collaborate with surgical, rehab, and care management teams

• Prioritize patient safety, discharge readiness, and pain management

• Maintain strong communication and documentation in a high-acuity environment

Required Qualifications:

• Orthopedic nursing experience required

• Telemetry experience required

• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center preferred

• Ability to interpret telemetry independently

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills

• Flexible and adaptable team player

Required Certifications:

• Active NYS RN License (must be in hand before start)

• BLS – American Heart Association ONLY

• ACLS – American Heart Association ONLY
