The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for assisting anesthesia providers in various settings.The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for the following:* Collaborates with the Charge Nurse in surgical and procedural areas to prioritize room turnover and set-up of anesthesia equipment and supplies for procedures with efficient and effective use of available resources.* Encourages regular communication, informs lead anesthesia tech and nursing staff of relevant workflow issues.* Maintains proficiency and provides support in the application, preparation, and troubleshooting of various types of equipment required for the delivery of anesthesia care.* To clean, prepare for sterilization, assemble, store, stock, orders, and maintain equipment and supplies for the anesthesia department including pre-mixed IV solutions and medications.*Experience*2-3 years' experience in an Operating Room, PACU, or Critical Care area of an acute care hospital as a Nursing Assistant, Orderly, or Patient Care Tech required. Previous Respiratory Therapy or Anesthesia Technician experience preferred. Knowledge of materials management, stocking, and inventory processes preferred.
