This role is responsible for creating and updating CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing products. The ideal candidate will have experience with Siemens NX or SolidWorks and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the assigned vendor portfolio ensuring transparency of spending.
- Develop and detail CAD models based on guidance from Design Engineers
- Generate 2D drawings and technical documentation for new product designs
- Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes or improvements
- Perform 3D scanning of castings and machined components for reverse engineering or analysis
- Ensure drawings comply with internal standards and industry best practices
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure accurate documentation and design intent
- Maintain organized records of all CAD files and revisions
- Other duties as assigned
Software & Tools:
- Siemens NX (preferred)
- SolidWorks
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience/Skills Required:
- Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
- CAD certification from an accredited program (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting or design, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience with 3D scanning technologies is a plus
