Job Description :

Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club is seeking a seasoned and inspiring Director of Tennis to oversee all aspects of its Tennis and Pickleball operation. This leadership role is critical in delivering a premier tennis experience and furthering our tradition of excellence in programming, instruction, and Member satisfaction. Our facility features 20 Lighted Har-Tru Tennis courts and 20 pickleball courts. This Club is owned and operated by Heritage Golf Group.

Core Responsibilities:

Member Experience & Service Excellence

  • Serve as the ambassador of tennis at Lakewood Ranch.
  • Create a warm, service-oriented environment that fosters member engagement and satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong member relationships and consistently gather feedback to improve offerings.

Programming & Event Leadership for all Racquet Sorts

  • Plan and execute a comprehensive year-round calendar of events including:
  • Social events (round robins, mixers)
  • Junior development
  • Cardio tennis
  • Themed holiday events
  • Special exhibitions and guest pro clinics

League & Competitive Play

  • Oversee all league play: USTA, WTT, interclub, and in-house leagues.
  • Manage player development and team formation.
  • Liaise with captains and ensure fair scheduling, coaching support, and performance tracking.

Instructional Excellence

  • Provide private and group lessons to players of all ages and skill levels.
  • Hire, train, and mentor a team of certified teaching professionals.
  • Ensure lesson quality, curriculum consistency, and alignment with Club goals.

Operational Oversight

  • Maintain high standards of court conditions, equipment, and facility presentation.
  • Monitor inventory and recommend capital needs.
  • Support the Athletic Center team in overall guest service and club-wide events.

Qualifications:

  • RSPA or PTR Certified
  • NTRP Rating of 4.5 or above
  • Proven success in tennis leadership within a private club environment
  • Strong instructional background with a focus on both adults and juniors
  • Energetic, engaging personality with a deep passion for service
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
