Product Overview: Star Academy is a comprehensive academic acceleration program for students in grades 7–9 who are behind in school. Delivered through a “school-within-a-school” model, it combines project-based STEM curriculum, customized classroom environments, and wraparound implementation support. Our all-inclusive, turnkey model improves academic performance, attendance, and behavior, setting a new standard for education intervention.

Position Summary: We are seeking a full-time, on-site Product Manager to join our fast-growing EdTech company. This role will serve as the founding member of our product team, responsible for leading the vision, development, and expansion of our learning management system and digital curriculum offerings. The Product Manager will be instrumental in setting product strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders, and ultimately building and leading a growing team of product managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for our cloud-based LMS and curriculum offerings
  • Translate educator and district needs into actionable product requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering, curriculum, customer success, and operations teams
  • Conduct market research and gather user feedback to inform product direction
  • Manage product lifecycle from ideation to release, including backlog prioritization
  • Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and serve as Product Owner
  • Define and analyze KPIs to measure product success
  • Support the eventual hiring, onboarding, and development of a broader product team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of product management experience in software or EdTech
  • Proven success managing SaaS or platform-based products from concept to launch
  • Experience working cross-functionally in an Agile environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Background in K-12 education, curriculum development, or intervention programs is a plus
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g. Jira, Productboard, Figma)
  • Bachelor's degree required; certifications like CSPO or Pragmatic PM a plus
