Our client is currently seeking a 1st Shift Production Superintendent for their plant located near the New Hampshire coast.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Production Department's daily operations
- Work cross functionally with other plant departments to ensure success
- Hire and train new employees
- Supporting new product and process trials and launches
- Ensuring compliance with GMP's, SOPs, Corporate Programs & Training
- Will manage staffing levels within the department
- Responsible for managing staffing levels and performance within the production department.
- Participate on lean / continuous improvement projects
- Ensure safety protocols are adhered to.
Qualifications
- BS/BA Degree is highly preferred
- 4-5 years of managing salaried staff, including supervisors
- 5-10 years of manufacturing experience
- Experience within consumer packaged goods is required (food/beverage)
- Experience with production scheduling is needed
- HACCP certification is preferred
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are required
