This is a building sub position and is full time.Job DescriptionWe are in search of an Elementary Substitute Teacher for (K-5) Salvaggio Academy. This is an onsite position in Allentown, PA. This position is full time.Salvaggio Academy, a private school in Allentown, Pennsylvania, provides a nurturing and academically rigorous environment for our students. We pride ourselves on our close-knit community, personalized attention, and commitment to fostering a love of learning. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Building Substitute Teacher to join our team and make a positive impact on our students' educational journey.Core hours are Monday-Friday 8 am - 3:30 pm.What You'll Do* Provide high-quality instruction to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher in the nursery through 5th grade.* Implement lesson plans left by the regular teacher and create engaging and effective lessons as needed.* Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.* Assess student performance and provide feedback to help students achieve their academic goals.* Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school staff about student progress and any concerns.* Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.* Follow school policies and procedures to ensure a safe and productive learning environmentWhat You'll NeedRequired:* Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education* Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Elementary Education* Strong knowledge of elementary concepts and teaching methods* Excellent classroom management and organizational skills* Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment* Effective communication and interpersonal skills* Proficiency with educational technology and toolsPreferred:* Mission driven mindset* Creative and innovative approach to teaching and learning* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team* Prior teaching experience at the elementary level is highly desirablePhysical Demands* Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards* The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl* The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds* Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorSchool Values* Commitment to Excellence: We strive for academic excellence and continuous improvement.* Student-Centered Approach: We prioritize the needs and interests of our students in all decisions.* Innovation: We encourage innovative teaching methods and creative problem-solving.* Community: We foster a supportive and collaborative school communityhe pay range for this position is $48,000.00 annually (USD).
