About the Role:

Landus is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Grain Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting and accounting operations specific to our grain division. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial data is provided to support informed decision-making across the organization. What will you do?

  • Maintain and oversee division-specific balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead the monthly close process, including the grain mark-to-market valuation.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages.
  • Support external audits by providing division-related documentation and insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely transaction recording.
  • Assist with the successful transition to a new ERP system.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small accounting team, providing direction and development.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in agriculture or commodity industries.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems a plus (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, etc.).
