The Director of Conference & Event Services is responsible for providing strategic leadership, operational oversight, and high-level coordination for all university-hosted events, external rentals, and youth camps/programs and conferences.The Director of Conference & Event Services will ensure a seamless experience for both internal stakeholders and external clients by managing facility use, event logistics, and compliance with applicable university policies and state/county regulations. The Director also plays a key role in managing and executing contracts/sales, contract negotiations, and financial oversight of event services and the department's budget.
This position plays a key role in revenue generation through the effective marketing and utilization of university spaces and in building strong relationships with departments and external partners. The director works closely with campus departments, including, but not limited to, Facilities, Public Safety, Athletics, and Marketing to support events that advance the university's mission and reputation.
This position is a full-time, in-person role with the expectation that additional hours, including nights and weekends, may be necessary to meet deadlines and support events.
