GENERAL FUNCTION:
This key position is responsible for Bancorp product sales growth, development, and enhancement of commercial payment products. It includes product financial management such as revenue forecasting, margin analysis, and pricing strategy. The role involves managing existing products, developing new products, supporting sales initiatives through training and customer calls, and developing customer education programs. The position acts as a liaison across various bank departments, identifying and managing product risks, and contributing to process improvements to minimize risk. It requires minimal supervision and accountability for risk management, always prioritizing customer and colleague interests to ensure a positive experience, while operating within the bank's risk appetite.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive sales for Bancorp products within the Commercial Payments Product Line.
- Cross-train in all functions within the group.
- Increase product sales and revenue year over year.
- Participate in client and prospect calls as needed.
- Implement and monitor product campaigns.
- Perform business forecasting and modeling.
- Generate qualified leads for cross-selling and new prospects.
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for all products within the team.
- Track sales and revenue growth.
- Conduct client seminars and develop product strategies to meet revenue and market share goals.
- Identify and prioritize product development opportunities.
- Deploy products to market within established timeframes and budgets.
- Provide consultative support on product and sales projects.
- Lead product introduction efforts and manage vendor relations, including contract negotiations.
- Conduct market research and analysis, including competitor analysis and market forecasting.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, laws, regulations, and technologies.
- Participate in market studies, user group leadership, and conferences.
- Coordinate internal communication, product announcements, and sales tools development.
- Establish quality and delivery standards, monitor product performance, and follow up on service issues.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Undergraduate degree in business or finance; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7-10 years' experience in Commercial Card Product Development, Sales, or Operations.
- Experience in product management, sales, and profitability management.
- Ability to work in matrix and multi-site environments, with strong collaboration and relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of designated product lines and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, and strategic skills.
