The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is seeking a qualified and experienced Clerk of the Works (aka On Site Representative) to monitor and document the progress and quality of the redevelopment of their facilities at 10 Chandler Street in Boston, MA. What you will do: Use your skills to make a difference by becoming a part of one of the best and oldest animal welfare organizations! Here's how:
- Maintain a regular presence on the job site to observe construction activities and monitor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and quality standards;
- Keep a detailed daily log of job site conditions, contractor staffing levels, work progress, delays, deliveries, and any deviations from plans;
- Monitor materials and workmanship for best practices, particularly as they relate to animal care spaces (e.g., noise control, climate systems, sanitation);
- Participate in punch list development and closeout procedures, ensuring the site is fully operational and safe for animal occupancy.
