We are hiring for a Sedimentology position within our Sedimentology & Stratigraphy (SedStrat) Specialist Team. The team provides deep technical expertise that is applied globally across bp's Exploration and Reservoir Development portfolio.
This is a Houston-based individual contributor role that requires a broad understanding of most depositional environments. The successful candidate must have specifically clastic, deep-water sedimentology knowledge with a history of successful experience in applying and integrating that expertise. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong project management abilities, as well as excellent communication and influencing skills. This role is suitable for experienced sedimentologists with a history of business delivery.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
EDUCATION: Minimum requirement MSc Geology degree level; preferably PhD level.
EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
ESSENTIAL
generate multiple depositional and stratigraphic scenarios
use static and dynamic fluid data to test, improve and rank those models,
describe subsurface uncertainty and risks.
