Field Engineer

Ready to leave your mark on one of New York's major infrastructure projects? We're looking for a sharp, hands-on Field Engineer to ensure that construction runs like clockworkfrom inspection to contractor coordination and everything in between. You'll be the eyes and ears on-site, translating plans into progress and keeping every moving piece aligned with quality, safety, and project goals.

What You'll Do

• Oversee inspection and construction operations with precision and professionalism.
• Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with quality assurance and safety plans, codes, and standards.
• Upload daily progress reports using Primavera Contract Management (PCM).
• Coordinate, schedule, and witness inspectionsincluding those required by the NYC Department of Buildings.
• Review shop drawings and flag any concerns before they become issues.
• Alert the Project Manager to any roadblocks and recommend smart, effective solutions.
• Keep the contractor's work tightly integrated with plant operations, avoiding disruptions.
• Assist in reviewing payment requisitions and validating work completed.
• Monitor construction schedules for adherence and efficiency.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in inspection and document control across engineering and construction industries.
• Track record in managing large, multidisciplinary infrastructure projectsespecially in wastewater, HVAC, and electrical.
• Strong understanding of construction management, site development, and wastewater systems.
• Familiarity with Primavera software and technical drawing review.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• Bonus points for experience in wastewater treatment facility design and MEP systems.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.

This is a fully onsite position in Mount Vernon, NY.
