Sodexo is seeking a skilled and hands-on Executive Chef 2 to lead the culinary operations at University Hospital of BrooklynSUNY, a respected academic medical center located in Brooklyn, NY. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in a mission-driven environment and has a strong background in healthcare food production and kitchen operations.

The Executive Chef will report directly to the Client Executive and oversee a dedicated team of 15 culinary employees, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service are consistently met.

What You'll Do

• Lead all culinary operations including patient dining, retail, and catering
• Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure excellence in food preparation and presentation
• Oversee food production systems, recipe compliance, and inventory control
• Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance (HACCP, Joint Commission)
• Collaborate with nutrition, operations, and client teams to deliver best-in-class service
• Drive culinary innovation and continuous improvement in quality and efficiency

What You Bring

• Strong culinary background with formal training or relevant certification preferred
• Proven experience managing kitchen operations and food production
• At least 3-5 years of culinary leadership in a high-volume setting; healthcare experience is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a culinary team
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Commitment to excellence in service, safety, and client satisfaction
