POSITION TITLE:Construction Fence ForemanPOSITION SUMMARY:The Construction Fence Foreman is responsible for overseeing the installation, removal, and repair of rental fence panels. This role requires a reliable and safety-minded individual with proven leadership skills and a strong focus on customer service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare job sites for fence installation.
- Identify and understand utility markings and follow all underground utility safety guidelines before driving posts into the ground.
- Align and verify post placement using string lines or visual alignment methods.
- Install posts into ground, asphalt, or concrete using jackhammers, core drills, or gas/air pounders.
- Attach rail supports to posts using hand tools such as hammers and pliers.
- Install privacy panels as needed based on site specifications.
- Set up rental fence panels on posts or stands, securing them with sandbags or weights as necessary.
- Perform field repairs to ensure the quality and integrity of temporary fence panels.
- Repair damaged post braces as required.
- Transport fence panels and materials to and from the installation site.
- Communicate with customers regarding site requirements and ensure all specifications are met.
- Oversee work performed by the crew or subcontractors to ensure compliance with job specifications.
- Safely remove fence panels from job sites and load them onto trucks for return to the branch.
- Inspect returned panels for damage, tag accordingly, and assess if customer damage charges apply.
- Obtain customer signatures to complete work orders and document any damage.
- Operate forklifts and attachments to load/unload materials on company property or job sites.
- Drive company vehicles to and from customer sites in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Complete administrative duties including timesheets, work orders, and other required paperwork.
- Conduct safety inspections of all equipment and tools before each use.
- Adhere to all company, OSHA, and governmental safety regulations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High attention to detail
- Proficient with air, hand, and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum 1 year of heavy construction experience
- 1+ years of experience driving large commercial vehicles (non-CDL)
- 1+ years of supervisory experience
- Fencing experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (no DUI/DWI)
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
