Job Opportunity: Data Entry Clerk
We are looking for a meticulous Data Entry Clerk to join our team. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in maintaining accurate data records and ensuring seamless operations. This is an onsite position requiring a high level of attention to detail and proficiency with spreadsheet management.
Responsibilities:
- Input and update data accurately into spreadsheets and databases, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Organize and manage large volumes of files, including locating shipping tickets and documenting them appropriately.
- Utilize Excel for spreadsheet management, including sorting, filtering, and maintaining data integrity.
- Review QuickBooks entries to trace payment details and incorporate relevant information into existing spreadsheets.
- Ensure timely and efficient handling of a backlog of tasks by prioritizing effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline data entry processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information throughout all data handling activities.
- Conduct routine checks to verify accuracy and completeness of entered data.
- Assist in generating reports and summaries based on updated records as needed.
- Stay organized and proactive in meeting deadlines for high-volume data entry projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in data entry with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet management and data analysis features.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to handle large volumes of files and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently in an onsite setting while adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy for efficient data handling.
