Pay $93,581.10 - $155,968.51 a year Job Type Full-time Location Buffalo, New York, United States of America Full Job Description Overview: We are looking for a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in multiple programming languages, experience with DevOps best practices, and a passion for continuous integration and deployment in complex, high-availability environments. This role involves working closely with development and operations teams to streamline and automate processes, improve deployment speed, and enhance software quality. Primary Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab to automate the software development lifecycle. Manage and maintain version control systems and repositories, ensuring best practices in source code management. Set up, configure, and manage binary artifact repositories with tools like Artifactory and Nexus. Implement containerization solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift to manage, deploy, and scale applications effectively. Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible to automate deployment and maintain consistency across multiple environments. Conduct vulnerability assessments and integrate security scanning tools (SAST, DAST) into CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and security. Use static code analysis tools, such as SonarQube, to enforce coding standards and improve code quality. Provide support for Linux-based systems, including troubleshooting and performance tuning. Collaborate on network configuration, ensuring a secure and reliable infrastructure. Integrate and work with REST APIs to enable seamless system communication and data exchange. Contribute to Azure cloud-based deployments and optimize cloud infrastructure as needed. Education and Experience Required: Minimum of an Associate's degree and 5 years' systems analysis/application development experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 7 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 5 years' systems analysis/application development experience. Demonstrated work experience on 2 or more programming languages like Java, .NET, Python, Angular, etc. Demonstrated work experience on version control tools and CI/CD pipeline creation in tools like GitLab. Education and Experience Preferred: Knowledge and/or experience in Azure cloud is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
