In this role, you will be part of a dynamic Software Support Engineering team that delivers application engineering services across various digital product development teams. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing tools, applications, and code improvements to streamline the operational processes for support engineers.
- Providing support engineering and troubleshooting for issues related to digital platform services and content across diverse products.
- Collaborating with content acquisition, providers, and technical teams to ensure seamless content publishing and delivery as per service level agreements.
- Managing production builds, tools, and configuration for successful software product releases and deployments.
- Offering first-level support for tickets filed in Audible and executing extensive troubleshooting and debugging.
- Maintaining and enhancing coding projects using Perl, shell scripts, web technologies, and Java.
- Supporting software deployments in both staging and production environments.
- Creating tools for operational maintenance and reporting on system and support status.
- Taking ownership of one or more digital products or components.
- Coordinating customer notifications and workflow follow-ups to uphold service level agreements.
- Collaborating with the Audible engineering team to manage active support issues and build a comprehensive knowledge base.
To succeed in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fields.
- 2-4 years of relevant development or technical support experience.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex enterprise-level applications and working with audio/video technologies.
- Strong development skills in Python, Ruby, NodeJS, C, Java, or other open-source technologies.
- Your expertise in Perl or shell scripts, XML/SOAP, and web service development is essential.
- A solid working knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience in managing high-severity incident calls.
