Overview

GovCIO is looking for a dedicated Cyber Security Analyst to join our team and support multiple Authority to Operate (ATO) initiatives on our enhancement contracts. This is a full-time remote position open to candidates across the Continental United States (CONUS).

Note: This position is contingent upon the awarding of the contract.

Responsibilities

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive assessments and reports to enhance the Department of Veterans Affairs BAM Portfolio. Your expertise will help develop and maintain cyber threat assessments, facilitating a deeper understanding of current cyber threats and adversaries.

  • Manage and uphold good standing ATOs for assigned applications, including documentation updates and scanning assistance.
  • Participate in ATO audits and assist in creating and closing Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
  • Work alongside intrusion analysts to identify and resolve cyber threats to ensure client security.
  • Deliver timely and sanitized intelligence to cyber incident response teams.
  • Utilize your technical knowledge to evaluate the client's security posture based on cyber threat information.
  • Conduct intelligence analyses to dissect intrusion signatures and cyber attack methodologies.
  • Research hacking techniques and vulnerabilities, producing detailed briefings and reports for leadership.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with eMASS and ATO requirements/documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute wherever necessary.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience in an IT environment.
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
  • Background in ATO audits.

Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain Suitability/Public Trust.
