- Coordinate the training of new hires and experienced team members to increase efficiencies and productivity.
- Lead the plant training program by maintaining training plans and schedules for hourly employees.
- Identify skills and knowledge gaps that need to be addressed among all hourly employees within the department.
- Observe and evaluate designated trainers to ensure effective execution of training process and training delivery.
- Collaborate with plant leaders and HR to identify training needs and create development plans for teams and individuals.
- Champion company initiatives and systems roll outs by educating and training employees within the department.
- Assess training effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
- Gather feedback from Trainers and Trainees to evaluate training processes and effectiveness.
- Provide Operational support as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience required in Manufacturing preferred.
- Ability to operate forklift.
- Ability to operate independently required.
- Must be able to work overtime and flexible work hours as needed.
- Excellent interpersonal relation skills required.
- A general understanding of the operational process a plus.
- Willingness to participate in continuous learning initiatives.
- Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
- Demonstrate leadership and decision-making skills to logically solve operational decisions and efficiently address issues as they arise.
- Must have basic math skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to maneuver throughout the facility.
- Ability to climb ladders or stairs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lean over for a period of time.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment.
