Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator with strong knowledge of union payroll, prevailing wage requirements, and multi-state payroll processing. This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll for employees across various job sites, while maintaining compliance with union agreements, prevailing wage laws, and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll for union and non-union employees.
- Review and ensure payroll compliance with prevailing wage laws and union labor agreements.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including timecards, deductions, and job costing details.
- Prepare certified payroll reports for government and public works projects.
- Communicate with unions regarding dues, benefit contributions, and wage rate changes.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Assist with audits and provide required documentation.
- Partner with HR and project managers to verify employee classifications, wage rates, and fringe benefits.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll experience, with specific experience in union payroll and prevailing wage projects.
- Strong knowledge of certified payroll reporting and compliance requirements.
- Experience processing payroll in [specify payroll software, e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, etc.].
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll processing preferred.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
