Job Description

We have multiple exciting opportunities available for the position of Data Scientist II at Amazon.com Services LLC. Our team is looking for innovative and motivated individuals to help drive decision-making and solve complex business challenges through data science.

Position Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable solutions to enhance automated decision-making processes across the organization.
• Utilize a diverse toolkit of data science techniques and apply subject matter expertise to tackle ambiguous business problems.
• Acquire and manipulate data by developing SQL or ETL queries and interfacing with Oracle, RedShift, and Spark storage systems.
• Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze data trends, validate inputs, and explore relationships to ensure data integrity.
• Create and validate statistical, mathematical, econometric, and machine learning models, inclusive of neural networks and natural language processing.
• Assess model performance against various benchmarks and key performance indicators set by the business.
• Implement models while ensuring compliance with computational demands and operational reliability.

Position Requirements:

A Master's degree (or its equivalent) in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with one year of experience in a relevant role is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) combined with five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience can be considered equivalent.

Applicants must have:

• At least one year's experience building statistical and machine learning models utilizing large datasets.
• Proficiency in writing SQL scripts for analysis and data migration.
• Experience with specialized modeling software, including R, Python, or MATLAB.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position ranges from $160,125 to $207,500 per year. Amazon offers a comprehensive total compensation package, which may include equity, sign-on payments, and a wide array of benefits, including medical and financial support.
