The NAS Mosaic science team aims to innovate and develop scalable ML solutions that provide personalized recommendations.

We are looking for a Data Scientist with expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining, along with a demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets. This role is perfect for someone who is eager to grow professionally in the field of data science.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the science team and closely partner with applied scientists, data engineers, product managers, UX designers, and business professionals to tackle complex data-driven problems.
• Analyze intricate and varied datasets collected from multiple sources to obtain key insights and build segmentation models aimed at enhancing customer experience and minimizing retail returns.
• Utilize strong communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams, understand critical questions, and build trust with senior leaders.
• Manage multiple tasks, including gap analysis of algorithm outcomes, integrating diverse datasets, performing business intelligence tasks, analyzing engagement metrics, and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, taking on highly visible projects and initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab).
• 2+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
• 3+ years of experience with machine learning/statistical modeling analysis tools and techniques, including understanding performance-affecting parameters.
• Experience applying theoretical models in practical settings.
• Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
• Experience in a machine learning or data science role within a large technology environment.

The base pay for this position ranges from $125,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,800/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation reflects various factors including location and job-related skills and experience. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits, including equity and sign-on payments as part of the compensation package.
