Director, Engineering Chapter Lead

As the Director, Engineering Chapter Lead , you will provide leadership and direction to the Workplace Solutions Business Process Management (BPM) development team. You will serve as an expert in BPM and automation solutions and lead a technical team as we modernize our platform. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Appian professional to join Lincoln in this transformation.

Lead and mentor an amazing team of developers and business systems analysts Partner closely with business/IT stakeholders as Lincoln transitions from our legacy BPM platform to Appian Ensure team adheres to engineering and agile best practices, focusing on high-quality solutions that provide business value Maintain a technical roadmap, and ensure the team's backlog accounts for technical work that's required to maintain system concurrency Serves as a subject matter expert to resolve complex application development/system analysis issues/concerns Encourage and promote innovation and offer ideas for execution and learning Maintain knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends Direct and evaluate individual/team performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards Provide training and development opportunities to team members, providing honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent Monitor budget and ensure work is tracked appropriately for financial reporting purposes Share weekend on-call rotations

Must-haves: 7+ Years' experience in Information Technology, with at least 4 years' focus on BPM platforms 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience Lead with years of experience Strong working knowledge of Appian Experience working in an agile environment Strong relationship management skills, with IT and business partners 4 year/Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience)

Nice-to-haves: Experience with AWD/Chorus to Appian migration Working knowledge of AWD/Chorus Proven skills in coaching team members in the areas of performance, standards, and methods Demonstrated ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills Ability to collaborate with senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding Understanding of DevOps and application security practices

The pay range for this position is $108,500 - $195,900 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
