Remote work is not available.Job Summary Linn County Mental Health is seeking an experienced Qualified Mental Health Associate to work with adult individuals with severe mental illness. Duties will include working in the community and in client homes, providing case management, facilitating groups, providing skills training, and other supports that help clients be successful in the community. Other areas involved with this position include strong communication skills; computer skills, experience using electronic medical record; a background with mental health documentation; understanding of basic counseling and assessment, evidence-based practices, outreach and crisis interventions; and writing and supporting treatment goals. The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues as part of an interdisciplinary team and should possess the ability to be flexible with case and task assignments. Timely completion of paperwork and documentation is critical. This position may require evening and weekend work. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a four-year college or university with major coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related behavior science field; or four years of progressive experience in a mental health service program involving general client needs; or any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the work described. Applicants must register with The Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) within 30 days of employment.Must be able to pass a criminal history check and possess or obtain an Oregon driver's license with an acceptable driving record that meets the County's requirementsThis is a non-supervisory position. Lead work and coordination of work of others is not a typical function assigned to this position. Incumbents in this position may provide training and orientation to newly assigned personnel.
