Job Description :

Test Manager, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 40% telecommuting permitted):

  • Collaborate with clients, teams, and project stakeholders to define project requirements, critical success factors, and risks.
  • Facilitate business scenario review meetings to develop test plans and test cases aligned with client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related activities, providing regular status updates.
  • Conduct project kick-off meetings to introduce the End-to-End (E2E) test team and key application SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
  • Create a master test plan document detailing the test strategy, business scenarios, testing results, development schedules, and deployment strategies.
  • Ensure environment readiness by managing schedules, downtimes, and maintenance activities.
  • Achieve optimum test coverage by using a traceability matrix to identify and address requirement gaps.
  • Provide project estimates based on complexity and scope, documenting and justifying the calculations.
  • Develop and review high-level and low-level test cases in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) prior to the system and E2E testing phases.
  • Drive end-to-end testing activities, ensuring environment readiness and prioritization of test cases.
  • Triage defects, escalate critical issues, and involve relevant stakeholders for resolution.
  • Lead status calls, publish detailed E2E testing reports, and maintain effective communication across teams.
  • Facilitate go/no-go meetings and oversee project closeout activities.
  • Manage enterprise-level, consumer-level, and integrated release management and environment planning.
  • Govern E2E environments, performing application health checks and validating connectivity.
  • Oversee automation tasks, manage application bounce requests, and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Implement GenAI technology in test management, including building a chatbot to enhance user experience.
  • Utilize ETE Test Management, Agile, Waterfall Methodology, Structured Query Language (SQL), Java Programming Language, Automation using Jenkins.

Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunications, Engineering or related (employer will accept Associates degree plus two (2) years of IT experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree) and two (2) years of experience as a Software Test Manager or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing ETE Test Management, Agile, Waterfall Methodology, Structured Query Language (SQL), Java Programming Language, Automation using Jenkins. $103418 to $153200 per year.
