JOB PURPOSE

Manage all Volunteer Engagement initiatives, which include but are not limited to the coordination of volunteer boards, councils and committees, volunteer awards and recognition, volunteer appreciation, and RISE Awards process. Manage volunteer communications and outreach efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive, inclusive outcome-focused volunteer engagement and experience strategy by streamlining volunteer recruitment, retention, and recognition processes for all volunteers. (20%)

  • Create the marketing plan, track volunteer applications, evaluations, selections, notifications, member lists and orientation in collaboration with the Director Governance. Manage the preparation and dissemination of all volunteer-related communications. (20%)

  • Manage key MPI volunteer related programs, including the Chapter Leadership Summit, Community Forum, and Community Advisory Board, and other Chapter and HQ volunteer related training programs ensuring effective program execution and volunteer satisfaction. (20%)

  • Manage the annual Chapter and HQ Awards, including RISE Award program to include program design, timelines, applications, evaluations, selections, web/marketing/communications and event planning. Serve as staff liaison to RISE Awards Committee and main point of contact for RISE recipients and presenters. (15%)

  • Create, and execute a best-in-class volunteer engagement and recognition program. Provide oversight for personalization of all volunteer recognition awards and gifts. This includes correspondence to recognize volunteers and past leaders, i.e., community of honorees. (25%)

  • Annual Compensation: $74,000 - $88,000

    EXPERIENCE

    • Five or more years of relevant work experience in associations, volunteer engagement, project coordination, or communications.

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's Degree in not-for-profit management, business, communications or equivalent; or five years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
