About the Role: As the Business Development Director, you will play a strategic role in driving new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and expanding market presence. This role is ideal for a high-performing professional with proven experience in selling global, full-service CRO solutions. Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities to support growth targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at prospective and existing client organizations.
  • Understand client business challenges and use insights to create tailored, actionable account plans.
  • Support the evolution of the business development strategy, including client segmentation, sales process optimization, and pipeline management.
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets in alignment with company growth objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure client satisfaction and service delivery excellence.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years of sales and account management experience, specifically in the life sciences sector.
  • Proven experience selling global, full-service CRO offerings.
  • A strong network of industry contacts, including decision-makers within sponsor organizations.
  • Exceptional ability to engage with and present to senior executives and C-level stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a history of closing complex deals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
  • Skilled at identifying client needs and proposing strategic, timely solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple sales cycles and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • Positive professional references from clients and previous employers.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
